Once that big decision has been made (to whom and when), you will need to come see us.

WHERE TO APPLY FOR YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE

The recorder’s office issues marriage licenses.
Marriage licenses are issued daily from 8:30 to 4:00
Marriage License fee is $28.00 and the payment must be cash.

IF YOU ARE YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER

Both the Bride and Groom must appear and present to the clerk:
  • Photo Identification. Government issued identification is preferred.
  • Social security numbers. If you have not been issued a social security number you must present a letter from Social Security stating that you have not been issued a number and you must also present your certified birth certificate.

IF YOU ARE 117 OR 16 YEARS OF AGE

Both the Bride and Groom must appear and present to the clerk:
  • Photo Identification. Government issued identification is preferred.
  • Social security numbers. If you have not been issued a social security number you must present a letter from Social Security stating that you have not been issued a number and also you must present your certified birth certificate.
  • A parent must be present to sign a consent form for the under age person or persons. The parent must also provide identification.

IF YOU ARE YOUNGER THAN 16 YEARS OF AGE

Both the Bride and Groom must appear and present to the clerk:
  • You must obtain a court order from a magistrate judge authorizing you to be married.
  • Photo Identification. Government issued identification is preferred.
  • Social security numbers. If you have not been issued a social security number you must present a letter from Social Security stating that you have not been issued a number and also you must present your certified birth certificate.
  • A parent must be present to sign a consent form for the under age person or persons. The parent must also provide identification.
     

WHO CAN PERFORM THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

Judge, Mayor or Minister. You will need to contact these people early so you will be placed on their calendar.

If you have any questions please contact the Recorder's Office.
We prefer that you come before 4:30 p.m. to avoid a long wait.
