[ARCHIVED] Juvenile Detention Officer Opening
The Mini-Cassia Juvenile Detention Center is accepting applications for a full-time Male, Juvenile Detention Officer. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, minimum of a high school diploma, and must be able to pass a criminal background check which will include a polygraph exam. Must also be willing to attend and successfully complete the 3-week POST Juvenile Detention Officer Academy when assigned to do so.
Job responsibilities include: maintaining order and discipline; providing proper supervision; modeling high standards of behavior and effective living skills; providing a supportive and nurturing environment; managing the center in a safe and secure manner; working effectively with residents in group settings; upholding and maintaining professional standards; and improving job skills and knowledge.
Starting wage range will be between $16.50 - $17.00 per hour and includes PERSI retirement and medical/dental/vision insurance.
